Turquoise Holiday Resort is a development of 108 detached villas and 392 apartments built by Artev Homes in 2008. Situated close to Flamingo Country Club (whos facilities are also available to you) and with easy access via mono rail to the Artev Beach, Turquoise overlooks the gulf of Gulluk and the Aegean Sea, known for it’s clear turquoise waters. Tuzla Lake is formed by the deep inlet from the Gulf of Güllük and Mandalya Bay. This is perhaps one of the most stunning locations in Turkey. Home to a host of ancient ruins the lake is surrounded by hiils covered with Olive groves, Pine and Tamarisk trees. The area is particularly special as a natural bird sanctuary; throughout the year a large variety of rare birds including Pelicans, Flamingos and White Storks can be seen flocking to the wetlands. The Turquoise site itself covers two valleys and hillsides, the contours of the land allowing for spectacular views of Tuzla lake and mountains.

- Tuzla Wetlands

The Tuzla wetlands cover 380 hectares and is famous as a natural sanctuary for birds and the paradise of flora and fauna especially in the spring. Protected by hillside covered with olive groves, Pine and Tamarisk trees, the sweeping wetlands are formed by the inlet from the Aegean Sea. The pelican is among the most frequent species of birds to be seen here, while another common site is the Great White and Little Egret. Between the months of October and April, Greater Flamingos flock to the area by the thousands. All this and also close enough to enjoy the thrills of Bodrum and just 15 minutes from the airport.

Turquoise provides the ideal base from which to explore the Bodrum Peninsula - we can help with car hire or you can choose to use the remarkable Turkish Dolmus (local bus) which are cheap, safe and fun. The central hub for the Dolmus is Bodrum Town from where you can reach just about every town and village on the peninsula with buses running late into the night. The cost of a typical journey is generally around 2 - 3 Turkish Lira so even extensive use isn't going to break the bank.
The resort itself caters for all types with accommodation set into the hillside although those with walking difficulties may prefer to choose accommodation close to the clubhouse. Many apartments have lake views while others are convenient for the popular clubhouse and central facilities. For those of you that prefer to leave the exploring to others, Turquoise has a wealth of amenities and facilties to usit every taste from swimming, to golf, to water sports to chic bars and good food - everything you could possibly need all under one roof.
